IMPORTANT MEMORANDUM 27 August 1946 TO ALL STAFF MEMBERS SUBJECT AUTHENTICATION OF GERMAN DOCUMENTS There are no certificates of authentication for German documents obtained from the United States War Department. If you are using a German document which the analysis sheet shows was obtained from the War Department, it will be necessary to make a specific request of the War Department in Washington to forward proper authentication. Please review your documents immediately and furnish me with a list of each of said documents that you propose to use in evidence, giving the date, description and frame number so that requests may be made in telecon communication Wednesday night.
