Dolan, Jr., Investigator, ID-IPS SUBJECT: ITAGAKI, Seishiro Pursuant to your request, dated 30 September 1947, addressed to this office at the suggestion of Mr. Tavenner, that a search be made for a newspaper containing a certain statement referred to in the SAIONJI-HARADA Diary, this Investigator today produced copies of eight newspapers of the date desried. These papers were: 1.Japan Advertiser 2.ASAHI 3.Tokyo NICHI-NICHI 4.OSAKA MAINICHI 5.HOCHI 6.YOMIURI 7.KOKUMIN SHINBUN 8.CHUGAI They were scanned, and one paper, CHUGAI, was found to contain the desired reference.
