-11- Sustained damage over 249 million tugrics. Total casualties of the Mongolian army in 1935-1945 were 2039 men and the damage sustained amounted to 321,983,000 tugrics. Beginning from 1935 to 1945 inclusive the Japanese imperialists and their hirelings 532 times violated the Mongolian frontier with subversive and terrorist aims. This figure includes only such cases which can be proved by appropriate documents. Most of these violations of the Mongolian frontier were committed by groups of people having special assignments from Japanese military missions in Hailar, Dulonner and Kalgan. All these violations caused heavy damage and caused casualties among frontier troops as well as among the peasant population of frontier districts of the Mongolian People’s Republic. Due to the these hostile acts the Government of the Mongolian People’s Republic had to protect the frontiers of the Republic to the maximum possible degree, calling to military service large groups of the population and annually spending large sums of money from its budget. + + +
