I gave a speech about SHANGHAI at the supper held at the MEIKYO Dormitory which was built by TAJIMA, Michiharu ([insert Japanese characters]). Ten college students and other residing outside the dormitory were present at the supper which lasted from 1800 to 2200 hours.
12 Jan 38:
Gave a speech about SHANGHAI at the YAMAWAKI Gerils’ High school at 1400 hours.
13 Jan 38:
Gave a speech about SHANGHAI at the supper held at the KENSHI Hall. The supper lasted from 1800 to 2330 hours.
14 Jan 38:
Invited Ambassadors Craig and Pincott ([insert Japanese characters]) and Admiral OSUMI (([insert Japanese characters]). We exchanged opinions. It is necessary for ENGLAND to withdraw her hand from CHINA after the war ends, but it would be advantageous for JAPAN if no incident arises with England before the war ends.
15 Jan 38:
Gave a speech about SHANGHAI at the good will meeting for the TOKAI Products Company, held at the KANKO Hotel. The meeting lasted from 1800 to 2200 hours.
18 Jan 38:
Gave a speech about SHANGHAI at the Alumni Association meeting held at the auditorium at 1800 hours and left there at 2100 hours.
19 Jan 38:
HASEGAWA, Roka ([insert Japanese characters]) and I went to the YAMATO School and, I have a speech about SHANGHAI. We took the ODAKYU Line at 1300 hours and returned at 1530 hours.

OKAWA, Shumei came to my house at 1000 hours. He is going to leave for NANKING tomorrow. I introduced him to General MATSUI.
27 Jan 38:
Gave a speech about SHANGHAI at the Education Department’s auditorium. The speech lasted from 1400 to 1600 hours.
