Q. Did KAJITSUKA, Ryuji know of your duty with the unit?
A. I think, he knew.
Q. Did you make reports to him of your above-mentioned work when you were on duty as the Chief Medical Officer? I suppose, you reported it, when you were on the said duty?
A. No, I never reported it.
Q. Did you see KAJITSUKA while you were serving in the ISHII Unit, when he visited the unit?
A. No, while I was on duty with the ISHII Unit, I never saw him within the unit. I saw him at the New Harbin Hotel while he was staying there on his supervising trip in autumn 1941.
Q. Did KAJITSUKA invite you?
A. I saw him when he dined with officers residing in Harbin. The dinner was held by KAJITSUKA for officers of troops in Harbin, at the time of his visit to the unit.
Q. Were you on duty with the ISHII Unit at that time?
A. Yes, I was.
Q. About what did you speak with KAJITSUKA at this dinner?
A. As it was an old account, I do not remember the particulars of the story. But they probably were not important.
Q. Who was the direct commander of the ISHII United in the Kwan-tung Army.
A. The Commander of the Kwan-tung Army.
Q. To what extent was this unit directly controlled by the Chief Medical Officer of the Kwan-tung Army, KAJITSUKA, Lieutenant General (Med.)?
A. KAJITSUKA, Ryuji had no authority to command this unit. He was only able to give instructions regarding the sanitation in the unit.
Q. Did KAJITSUKA, Ryuki ever visit this unit? If so, do you remember how many times did he make visits?
