Japanese Trade Studies, Special Industry Analysis No. 11 - Menthol

Report prepared for the Foreign Economic Administration by a member of the staff of the United States Tariff Commission. This study focuses on Menthol as a commodity and investigates its position in Japan's economy for trade. Concludes: "Any territorial losses resulting from the war would not affect possible future menthol production in Japan" but "there will likely be considerable competition, however, with synthetically produced menthol and natural menthol produced in China and other areas."
