Report prepared for the Foreign Economic Administration by a member of the staff of the United States Tariff Commission. This study focuses on Copper as a commodity and investigates its position in Japan's economy for trade. States that "unlike most other minerals, copper occurs within Japan in considerable quantities" before concluding that "regardless of the method used to control the industry, a considerable cut-back in the refining and fabricating facilities of Japan proper will be called for after the war."
