Kurland certifies the diagnosis of Lt. Gen. Sadaaki KAGESA as "Moderately advanced active pulmonary tuberculosis with cavitation of the left apex." Gives recommendation for treatment. States "while he could undoubtedly be transported to the International Military Tribunal in Tokyo and testify there for a few hours without collapsing, it is felt that this would not be consistent with ideal treatment of his condition, and might be detrimental to his health."
