Born in 1903; died in 1955. Major, Cavalry (as of 1941). Gave information regarding the U. S. Military Mission to China during World War II. By the end of the war he had been promoted to Brigadier General. He is most well-known for his "Merrill's Mauraders" for action in Burma during the war. |
