Four Japs Given Long Prison Terms for Pilot Torture SHANGHAI, June 9, (AP) – A military court today sentenced Japanese Capt. Yoshio Nakano to a life term at hard labor after conviction on charges of torturing an American pilot who crashed in Formosa in May, 1945. Two lance corporals were given 30 years each and a superior private 25 years for the same offense. The pilot, Lt. Ted Hart made a special trip to China to testify against the quartet and was in court when the sentences were passed.
