Army, Navy, Marines on Atrocity Tribunal
YOKOHAMA – Army, Navy and Marine Corps officers are serving together for the first time on the Eighth Army War Crimes Commission during one of the current trials here.
The tribunal, which is trying Shinichi Motayashiki on atrocity charges, is headed by Navy Capt. Beverly M. Coleman of Washington, D. C., with Major William McLaughlin, Gloucester, Mass., representing the marines. Army officers on the tribunal are Lt. Col. Gleason L. Beachy, Sebring, Ohio; Major Harold E. Raffensperger, Warren, Pa., and Capt. Ray T. Hornby, Laramie, Wyo.
