Soviet Representative on Tribunal Arrives The Soviet member of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, and the Soviet associate prosecutor of the International Prosecution Section, with a staff of 44 persons, arrived in Tokyo late Saturday aboard two Soviet Navy frigates. The Hon. Justice A. E. Zaryanov, the Tribunal member, and Dr. S. A. Golunsky, the associate prosecutor, were greeted by the Hon. Justice E. H. Northcroft of New Zealand, acting president of the tribunal, and staff members of the Soviet member of the Allied Council for Japan. Chinese Puppet Leader Gets Death Sentence SHANGHAI (AP) – Chen Kung-po, whose role as Japanese appointed puppet president for China made him China’s major war criminal, has been convicted of treason at Soochow after a six hour trial. He was sentenced to death.
