Naval Chief Sought as War Criminal Takasumi Oka, former Japanese Naval chief, has been ordered apprehended and confined in Sugamo Prison by the International Prosecution Section. The IPS asserts that he worked with the Japanese liaison conference which approved the final draft of the last note sent to the United States. In addition, he allegedly held a “high and influential position I the Navy Ministry” and led the young officers of the Japanese Navy in preparation of war while negotiations were still evident with the United States, the Prosecution section said.
