Jap Strips Self of Honors Before Facing Allied Court
Tokyo, Japan, Nov. 28 (AP) – Toshiro Shiratori, former Japanese ambassador to Italy, now held as a war criminal suspect has decided to renounce court ranks and honors. He said he didn’t want to appear before an allied tribunal with such honors because “I would feel ashamed.”
