Sandusky informs Tavenner that regarding Document 1023, it has been thoroughly analyzed. He states that "I do not believe that there is anything else in this document of sufficient importance to warrant introduction by us. References to "The Holy War" are the familiar exhortations tied up with "hakko ichi" and the mission of Japan to create everlasting peace in the Orient. As I recall, we already have significant evidence on this point in the record already." Attached is Sandusky's handwritten draft analysis of Document 1023, "Handbook for Soldiers at the Front."
