Filipino Tells About Japanese Crimes in Court
MANILA (AP) – A Filipino whom the Japanese used as a beast of burden, testified at the war crimes trial of Lieut. General Kono, that he saw the Japanese ruthlessly bayonet 81 Filipino men, women, and children, on Panay Island where Kono was the former commander.
The witness said that the Japanese grasped some infants by the heels and battered out their brains on fence posts or against walls of the huts.
