Dr. Ba Maw is Handed over to British Here; is Returning to Burma
Dr. Ba Maw, Burmese political leader, was released from Sugamo prison on Wednesday to the custody of an attache of the United Kingdom Liaison Mission. Accompanied by Lt. Col. John Figgis, British army, and Major Charles Norbert George II, Dr. Ba Maw was escorted to the British Embassy, thence to Atsugi airfield where he left on a British aircraft for Iwakuni, Honshu, the BCOF air base, to board a British seaplane for Rangoon.
