Interpreter for POWs to Face War Tribunal Yukio Asano, former civilian interpreter with the Japanese Army at a Fukuoka Prisoner of War Camp is to stand trial before a military tribunal in Yokohama for beatings and tortures he is alleged to have inflicted on American prisoners of war. Charges against Asano were returned yesterday by the legal section of SCAP.
