Morgan recounts to Ladd an interview he had with Kyusuke Hoshide, an "informant among the Japanese now being detained at the Greenbrier Hotel, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia." Hoshide told Morgan information regarding Ichitaro Yawata, a clerk in the Japanese Embassy at Washington, D.C. Mentions machine tools purchased prior to the outbreak of war as well as airplane parts.
