More Arrests Ordered 18 Suspects Headed by Lieut. Gen. Morimoto Sought by SCAP The Allied Supreme Commander on February 4 ordered the apprehension of additional Japanese suspected war criminals, numbering 18 headed by Lieutenant General Tadachiro Morimoto, former commander of the War Prisoners’ Camp in the Philippines between July 1942 and March 1944. On this order, the Japanese Government must arrest the 18 war crime suspects and turn them over to the Commanding General of the U. S. XI Corps at the Sugamo Prison at the earliest practicable date.
