Summary Brief : Re: DR. OKAWA (Shumei) Okawa joined the Rose Kai, one of the earliest ultra-nationalist societies, in 1916. He founded the Yuzon Sha, an ultra-nationalistic society in 1919. He joined the staff of the East Asia Research Institute (controlled and financed by the S. M. Ry. Co., a Japanese governmental organization) in 1919. He founded in 1923 Gyochi-Sha, an ultra-nationalistic organization with the same aims as the Yuzon-Sha. In 1926 he became Director General of the S. N. Ry’s. East Asia Research Institute. He plotted and planned the March (1931) Incident, the Mukden (18 September 1931) Incident, and the October (1931) Incident to install a National Socialist Government. He founded Jimmu Kai, an ultra-nationalistic organization. He aided in the May 15th (1932) Incident (imprisoned five years for participation). He was implicated in the February 26 (1936) Incident. In 1938 he established a school for training spies for the War Ministry. Dr. Okawa was the foremost revolutionary intellect in Japan. His life has been devoted to Pan Asianism, which he defines as “the freeing of Asia from white domination; the expelling by force under the leadership of Japan of all white interests, governmental and commercial, in Asia, and the eventual domination
