Seichi Kawakani, charged with the slaying of Jose Abad Santos, acting Philippines president, on May 7, 1942, has committed suicide with poison at his home near Sendai, the 9th corps reported today. He had been released from prison to get belongings at his home pending transfer to a prison in Tokyo.
