Born in 1903. Tokyo manager for the International News Service (INS). Provided papers and information he had gathered, especially regarding Japan’s connection to Chinese narcotics, while in Japan and China to the War Department for the prosecution of Japanese war criminals. In 1940, he was charged with violating the Japanese Army penal code and indicted. The case involved his reporting on Japan’s actions in China. He was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment. |
