Born in 1897; died in 1978. Professor of History at the University of Nanking from 1920 - 1941 and then again from 1945 - 1950. From 1937 - 1941 he was Chairman of the Emergency Committee of the University of Nanking. He was a member of the International Safety Zone Committee (Nanking) from 1937 - 1938 which later became the Nanking International Relief Committee (of which he was Chief from 1939 - 1941). |
