Born in 1918; died in 2007. Prisoner-of-war, at Yokohama Brick Yard Camp. Nicknamed “Dusty.” Combat pilot and third leader of the Blue Angels flight team. Shot down and captured during World War II during the Battle of Santa Cruz Islands in October 1942. Wrote letter to Keenan stating his belief that Sergeant Keioshi Iida, a Japanese officer at Yokohama, should not be tried as a war criminal citing instances of kindness towards prisoners.
