Born in 1899; died in 1995. Wrote a letter requesting that neutral powers conduct the trial of the accused Japanese war criminals. Member of the Japanese parliament during World War II. Imprisoned at Sugamo Prison after he campaigned to be arrested so that he could help defend Japan during the Tokyo war crimes trials. He was not tried. Japanese businessman, politician, and philanthropist. |
