The following message for Mr. Tavenner was received from the Navy Department, Office of the Judge Advocate General, in a letter dated 21 July, 1947:
“Please inform Mr. Tavenner that the search fro the intercepted message of 10 July 1937 was unsuccessful. Captain Harry W. Baltazzi, USN, of Op-32, stated by telephone 16 July 1947 that his Chief would send us a memorandum to that effect which we, in turn, will forward to Mr. Tavenner.”
