Shaw concluded, "They won't get to Japan any sooner." -0- TWO SHIPS SCHEDULED TO-SAIL LATER IN WEEK EIGHTH ARMY HEADQUARTERS, YOKOHAMA, -- The Kinkaid is scheduled to sail for Seattle June 13 with 300 enlisted men and 66 officers, and the Stetson Victory will sail from Yokohama June 14 for Seattle with 400 enlisted men and 226 officers aboard, according to the Troop Move- meat division of the Second Major Port. The Troopships arrived in Yokohama June 8 and 9 respectively. The Kinkaid brought 29 officers and 690 enlisted men of the air corps and 24 USO entertainers, while the Stetson Victory edebarked six nurses, 104 officers, and 245 enlisted men of the ground forces. -0- ENCEPHALITIS SHQTS T0 BE GIVEN ALL TROOPS IN JAPAN EIGHTH ARMY HEADQUARTERS, YOKOHAMA -- As a prevention measure a- gainsti Japanese "B" encephalitis, all troops in Japan will receive immunization shots, it was revealed Tuesday in an Eighth Army circular. The initial vaccination series will be completed for troops in the I Corps area by June 15 and for those in the IX Corps area by June 30, according to the circular. The disease is transmitted through mosquitoes. -0- INTERNATIONAL TREATIES, DOCUMENTS TO BE INTRODUCED AT FIRST DAY OF WAR CRIMES TRIALS The International Prosecution Section will seek to introduce into evidence more than 100 copies of international documents and treaties Thursday at the first day of the trial of 28 accused Japanese war criminals before the International Military Tribunal for the Far East. Eugene D.Williams, assistant U.S. prosecutor, said that presentation of the documents, their identification and the marking of them with exhibit numbers will consume the greater part of the first day's proceedings.
