Through the office of the General Secretary, International Military Tribunal for the Far East. Tavenner informs W. J. Sebald, Counselor of Mission, that Defense Witness KAGESA, Yoshiaki cannot be removed to China. Outlines the events over the past year regarding KAGESA and his health, as well as China's attempts to have him brought to China. States "It is a coincidence that the effort to remove the subject has occurred so near the time the witness is being called to testify, and it is very important that no action be taken on the application, which would be grounds for any conjecture on the subject of interference with the Defense in the presentation of its cause."
