Mrs. Lambert submits to Tavenner a list of comments regarding the defense summation on the Manchurian phase. Before highlighting and analyzing the incorrect statements, she writes "At the outset, I would like to point out that there is nothing, repeat nothing, in the Defense summation of the Manchurian phase that warrants a reply. In no respect can it be considered an answer or refutation of the Prosecution summation on this phase. It apparently wasn't intended to be factual. Most facts included are unsupported or distorted, and these infrequent factual sequences are hung together with some startling passages on the law, which, alhtough they seem to be conjured up out of some opiate dream, made this assignment anything but dull."
