Reports that the tribunal adjourned indefinitely to discuss a defense plea entered by Capt. Samuel J. Kleiman on behalf of Kiichiro Hiranuma and four other defendants. The plea asked for a "bill of particulars concerning each offense" because, Kleiman argued, "that the indictment did not state 'in simple language' each offense charged and that it contained 'not facts but conclusions.'" Comyns Carr for the prosecution objected. Other matters discussed during the session included translating the proceedings into short sentences.
